May-Concert-AdI seriously thought about not writing this week. I’m exhausted. If I could put off writing this, I would. Unfortunately, being tired isn’t a good reason to skip the blog this week.

Overall, this week hasn’t been bad. It’s been fairly restful, actually. I haven’t had to go anywhere except church and grocery shopping. It’s rained a lot, so I’ve gotten a decent amount of sleep. Today, however, was not restful. Today was the accumulation of everything I’d been working toward for five weeks: the spring pops concert of the Starlight Symphony Orchestra.

I’ve been playing the violin since I was ten. Concerts are no stranger to me. This one, however, was by far the longest one I’ve ever played: two hours. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the music we played. Who wouldn’t enjoy playing bugs bunny or that circus march (whose name escapes me)? Not me. But after the hour and a half rehearsal beforehand, the two hour concert, and the thirty minute commute each way, I’m pooped. I’ll be calling it an early night, I think.

The bad news? I gotta do this again tomorrow.

So without further ado, goodnight and rest up. I’ll see you next week, hopefully with something more interesting to say.
