Finished Book and New Website

Finished the book!

This week has been a busy week. After more than a year of hard work, I’ve finally finished the fantasy novel I’ve been working on. It topped out just over 117,000+ words, and thirty chapters. It’s going the be the first of three books about a kid who was raised in a monastery. All Kelini wants to do is become a monk, but before he can do that, he has to first step outside of his comfort zone and deliver a message. That’s not going to be easy, though, since he has autistic tendencies and would much rather stay home. To top it off, the Ice Raiders are invading from the north. His world quickly gets turned upside down, but with help from his friends he manages to save the day.

This story is meant for older teens and adults. I do plan to get it published, but it’s not going to be easy. Finding an agent is going to be the next step. I have no idea when that is going to happen, so finger’s crossed.

The picture, by the way, is my inspiration for Kelini.

New Website

I also spent the week buying a domain and fixing up a website. jennygormanblog.wordpress.com is no more. Instead, welcome jennygormanwrtier.com. I worked hard to get it looking and working the way I wanted, so feel free to poke around and tell me what you think!
