If I had the energy to find a put a meme of me hitting my head against the wall, I would, because that is what I would be doing right now. The supreme court has made its ruling this last week about gay marriage. I’ve heard all about it, and I’ve heard all about everyone else’s reaction. If you’re like me, then you are tired of listening to other people talk about it. Well, sorry, you’re getting one more.
I am disappointed in America. The government of America had no right to redefine marriage. Not because God has already defined it, but because of the separation of Church and State. When did America start telling its people how to worship? Don’t pretend like they don’t. Media covers the congress just like it covers natural disasters, and what people see our leaders doing, they are going to start doing.
For hundreds and thousands of years, the definition of marriage has remained the same: a union between a man and a woman. It is the oldest tradition man has. Marriage has an important role to play in the formation of a society. Where do you think our society is going to go now that we have given the gay community the green light? What are they going to do next, legalize polygamy? Where is our society going to go when we stop enforcing Right and Wrong?
Believe me when I say that there is a right and there is a wrong, and homosexuality is Wrong.
Alas, that is my opinion. Now, it also happens to be the opinion of my God, but is the government of the United States going to listen to Him? They just showed by their actions that they aren’t. Since He is a good God, He is going to let us make our mistakes. He’s not going to force us to follow Him, and so He isn’t going to force the United States to make decisions that make sense.
I have one thing to say to the gay community: congratulations, you’ve won. You’ve got the right’s you worked so hard for. Now, please–shut up, stop forcing your beliefs on innocent businesses, and let the rest of us worship our God in peace. We are sick of you.
Thank you and good night.
